The Castelló d'Empúries Antoni Agramont Municipal School of Music teaches a variety of instrument such as the piano, trasverse flute, violin, saxophone, flageolet and tabor, treble guitar, oboe, trumpet, trombone, fiscorno and double-bass as well as providing music theory classes.

The students put their knowledge, of the orchestra as well as the cobla, into practice by participating in shows and performances organized by the School itself during the year.

The following are practiced in the school:

· Children’s choir
· Orchestra
· Wind instrument training
· The Rossinyolets cobla
· The Ampurdanesa cobla
· The Castellonina cobla

We have taken part in events, mainly performing coblas, giving us the opportunity to teach people about our municipality, Catalan music and culture in such far flung places as Finland, Portugal, Croatia, Germany and France.

Apart from given music lessons, one of the most important tasks that is carried our at the School is the collection of material related to the world of the sardana and the cobla in general; scores as well as instruments, photographs and books, but especially everything related to the numerous musicians and coblas from our municipality.

 
For this reason, we are very grateful for the numerous contributions that have been made by different people which have allowed us to recover part of the musical heritage of Castelló d'Empúries.
