Some of the educational functions of the local council are, participation in the educational process, cooperation in the maintenance and construction of educational institutions, auditing of educational organizations (Council of Municipal Education) and the planning of educational and cultural activities aimed at students in the municipality.

Our municipality has a locally owned day care center which is run by the autonomous entity Escola Infantil Municipal Passeig de les Oques.

The Department of Education is in charge of the primary schools and oversees their maintenance and their structural and functional improvement. It collaborates in the curricular and extra curricular activities of the centers and also works with the parents’ associations.

It is also responsible for Catalan classes for adults.
